Reconnecting with Joy

Hi,

Today I’m writing you about JOY. And… how to be present in joy.

Make a cup of coffee, grab your pen and journal, get cozy, and let’s start.

In the last weeks, I've been reflecting on WHAT IS JOY.

When do I experience it. And how.

I’ve noticed that in my daily life, joy often feels fleeting, something I might experience in passing (if I pay attention) rather than fully embrace.

My journey of actually experiencing joy started when I consciously began to slow down. When I took a break from chasing my to-do list and created more space for simply being and observing. In that “being mode”, I have started naturally savoring the simple things—like the warmth of a morning cup of coffee, the sound of my breath on the yoga mat, a smile on a friend’s face...  I’ve realized that true joy isn’t found in grand moments but in the small, everyday instances. When (/if) we’re truly present. And the most beautiful part of all of it: you don’t need to search far for joy. You don’t need to search at all. It is already within you.

It’s about allowing ourselves to fully experience these moments without distraction, without rushing to the next task. This practice, as insignificant and silly as it might sound, was quite transformative, making the little joys feel fuller, richer, and more meaningful. Making life more fulfilling and fun!

How often do you rush past these moments without truly savoring them?

My hope for you this season is to find those moments of joy and presence in your everyday life and let them fill your heart.

This month, I had also the absolute pleasure of guiding a beautiful group of people through a Reconnect with Joy retreat I have hosted with a dear friend of mine.

It was a weekend dedicated to disconnecting from the busyness and stress of everyday life and the endless stimulations we all face. We created a space where we could all slow down, drop into presence, and rediscover the pure joy of living. We celebrated life in its simplest and most profound forms, reconnecting with ourselves and each other, savoring every moment, and creating memories that will stay with us forever.

It's a dream come true to see our vision come to life and to witness the magic that happens when like-minded people come together with open hearts.  My soul is overflowing with gratitude and fulfillment.

If you’re interested, I have posted some recaps on my Instagram, you can find them in the highlighted stories.

And if you missed it, don’t worry - We're already planning the next one! It’s going to be pretty special! Stay tuned—beautiful things are on the horizon.

Here are some integration questions you use as journal prompts:

  • What are the small moments of joy in your daily life that you often overlook?

  • How can you create more space for presence in your everyday routine?

  • When was the last time you felt truly connected to joy? What were you doing?

  • How does being present in joyful moments impact your overall well-being?

  • What simple practices can you start today to invite more joy in your life?
