Give yourself a break

Hi there,

welcome back to my letters. Today I’m writing to you about RESTING.

Make a cup of coffee, grab your pen and journal, get cosy and let’s start.

I have taken on too much lately and found myself simply tired and in need of re-evaluating where my energy goes.  

I have noticed low energy levels.

And I feel I need to withdraw for a bit.  

My body wants to sleep more,

do less,

stay home under a blanket and get a bit more introverted.

(PS: Any Netflix recommendations? ;)

It took me years of practice to even become aware of such messages,

acknowledge them with no judgment.

And making space,

with respect.

I have been conditioned to push from the mind

towards achieving and striving

to meet my goals.

Now I approach my life(style) holistically.

Knowing there has to be space for all the pillars of well-being to thrive and enjoy life.

Knowing that you can’t pour from an empty cup.

And that SO much more is possible when you are rested.

Expansion and pure joy.

So I need to readjust.

Listen to my current needs

and make space for them.

For my body,

to be listened to

and taken care of.

For physical and emotional wellness

so that there is more room for everything else- relationships, career, finances, spiritual well-being etc. etc. It is all deeply connected.

I need to DO less

to simply BE more.

As I posted on IG yesterday,

balance is not something you find.

It’s something you create.

How might you create more inner and outer balance this month?

If it resonates,

if you feel like you’ve been pushing through your boundaries and ignoring your needs - I feel you. No judgment here. We are all imperfect humans. Learning to be a better version of ourselves every single day.

Remember, in nature, there is time for everything.

And if need one  - you have my permission to rest.

Taking a pause is never a waste of time. Listen to your body and give yourself the break you deserve.
